The Flavor Match: Who will create the best burger?

Combining the pleasure of a delicious chef-crafted burger with an incredible sauce and a refreshing Japanese beer in a top spot of Parisian nightlife is the brilliant project conceived by Asahi Super Dry. The iconic Japanese house is launching its "Flavor Match" from September 8th to October 28th, which already promises to be the ultimate foodie rendezvous of the season, in a super cool location by the water. We'll explain everything to you.

Traveler burgers

Asahi Super Dry has thrown a formidable challenge to Chloé Charles, Gianmarco Giorni, and Jarvis Scott (three former Top Chef contestants whose fans will recognize) and the young Japanese talent Sho Miyashita. The idea? Elevate burgers using the iconic sauces from 20 countries, including France, Italy, Japan, Scotland, Chile, Australia, and South Africa, among others. Each chef will take on the recipes from five countries to (re)introduce visitors to the taste of travel through gastronomy (our lifestyle at Do It In Paris!). The toughest part will be choosing...

Need some examples? Among other countries, Gianmarco Giorni will be working with Italy (of course!) and preparing an arrabbiata sauce, while Sho Miyashita will enhance his burger with a typically Irish Asahi Super Dry BBQ sauce. Other exciting combinations to look forward to include Chloé Charles representing France with a Cantal cheese and pickle cream (#dietpassion), while Jarvis Scott will create a Vegan Braai sauce inspired by the flavors of South Africa.

The gathering of food enthusiasts

To accompany these highly creative burgers, of course, there will be bottles of beer from Asahi Super Dry, the first Japanese beer sold worldwide, a true icon with its dry and crisp taste inspired by sake. Now, all that's left is to settle in and toast in the spacious setting of 211, this La Villette hotspot by the canal, with fantastic programming and a giant screen. A real ambiance spot to occupy during this highly feel-good event.

"La Villette is far away"? We hear you from here. Even better for those who find it too distant: just a stone's throw from the Palais-Royal, a second, more centrally located flagship will be set up at Le Biscornu (87-89 rue Montmartre, Paris 2nd), a highly feel-good and festive evening venue. You have no more excuses.

The Flavor Match by Asahi Super Dry, from September 8th to October 28th at 211, 211 avenue Jean Jaurès, Paris 19th. Open from Wednesday to Sunday starting at 11 am, until 12 am on Wednesday, 2 am on Thursday, 3 am on Fridays and Saturdays, and 8 pm on Sundays. No reservations required, with the possibility to make them on busy evenings.
