Nestled in the vibrant Rue Bichat, Le Marquis is the new spot opened by three childhood friends, Jules, Paul, and Julian, who already run Café Princesse right next door. This evening destination, part-bar, part-bistro, serves up meticulously crafted dishes and natural wines perfect for extended aperitifs. Once you arrive, you won’t want to leave and will already be planning your return!

Good Vibes Only

Forget stuffy, snobbish atmospheres: Le Marquis keeps it real and does it right! This cozy 30-seat spot, extended with a terrace, boasts a successful mix & match decor: raw brick counter, leather banquettes, tablecloth-covered tables, lacquered wooden chairs, a large mirror, red neon light, candles, and mismatched vintage dishware. And the perfect playlist to match! The convivial bistro atmosphere mirrors the vibrant team behind the scenes, who have already earned a stellar reputation at neighboring Café Princesse with their top-rated brunch. This joyful crew, comprised of Jules Blot (the chef), Julian Amar (the startup entrepreneur), and Paul Tourneboeuf (former manager of Café Français) in charge of service, is united by their passion for food and has one goal: to make you enjoy every moment!

Neo-Comfort Food to Savor Every Bite!

The Marquis restaurant menu

We didn’t expect to be this delighted... and yet it’s a hit right from the start with the bone marrow served with warm, buttered toast (11 €). The delightful journey continues with perfect beef croquettes to dip in an herbaceous yogurt sauce (12 €). In between, a few sips of Cordières des Andes 2021 red wine (7 € per glass) prepare the palate for the house’s star dish: crispy crab served whole with toasted brioche and a slice of smoked bacon - wow (16 €)! Next, green asparagus and runny egg topped with a delicious sauce that you’ll scoop up to the last drop with bread (9 €). We finish with the knife-cut beef tartare and its amazing seasoning (16 €). And since we doubled the glass of red, we finally give in to the sheep’s tomme cheese with poached pear in wine (9 €). After all, the evening is just getting started!

Open Wednesday to Saturday from 7 PM to Midnight. Reservations on Instagram @lemarquis32.
